The sense of rhythm created within the repeated chords is,
I think, the most important of the magic that Beethoven possesses,
and it seems to be expressed best in the Pathetique Sonata. You can feel a beauty of
'balance' different from No. 14 or No. 26.
On top of that, it's also fascinating that the distinctive 'brightness' of Mozart's music appears in parts, however faintly. (Though most of it is dark, of course.)
