Finding a Room near Noryangjin

About two months ago I went around to two real estate agencies in Seoul. The agencies have business cards, but I won't disclose their names.

1. Purpose of finding a room: to attend an academy.

2. Period: I came thinking of roughly 6 months (from mid-July to late December~mid-January), but it varies a bit by room

3. Impressions.

- Rooms that allow a 6-month term exist mainly only in areas very close to Noryangjin

- Depending on the room, a notable feature is that the buildings where you can sign a contract directly with the landlord are clustered in certain locations.

- Whether it's Noryangjin, Jangseungbaegi, or anywhere in Seoul, there are rooms even in spots that make you wonder "are there really rooms in a place like this?" tucked away from the main road and deep inside.

- Unless you go really far from the academy district, the price difference isn't large, so there isn't much point in going around to look at rooms.

- Gosiwons usually start at around 300,000 won. The biggest downsides of gosiwons are that the ceilings are very low, and if a room has an exterior window rather than an interior one the price jumps sharply, and that the layout is so complex it makes you feel it would be truly dangerous when evacuating in a fire.

4. There were quite a few decent rooms near Noryangjin, but rather than being right up close, approaching from a little distance was very good, and at the present moment, when Noryangjin is gradually starting to have more vacancies, it's not an appropriate time to be looking for a room.
