Bohwagak, Korea's first private art museum—the beginning of the Gansong Art Museum started here. For someone like me who especially loves going to exhibitions, the reason I still haven't been able to visit the Gansong Art Museum may be because it's a seasonal exhibition hall that opens for only one month a year. Going to that museum, which is crowded every single day for two weeks, timed to the right dates, is honestly no ordinary feat. But that just goes to show how remarkable a person Gansong Jeon Hyeong-pil was. He may have been an 'innocent of the world,' but there was no innocent quite like him, and thanks to the artworks he collected that way, Korea was able to salvage many works of art.
