Things That Are Hard to Understand

1. Why are there no iodine / hydrogen peroxide and such here? There's no disinfectant...telling me to make disinfecting water out of table salt and use it for disinfection... Not only is there not a single such thing in the First aid kit, there's not even a single bandage. From what I can see, these folks seem to have to shuttle back and forth to the hospital whenever something big happens. What on earth is this place that can't even do a simple dressing—is all of England like this?

2. Even if a GV is sick and makes an appointment, well, the point that going to the hospital isn't managed by one single office but is left to each individual house to handle / I often think that, when it comes to the hospital system at least, Korea isn't bad.

3. Why isn't public transportation well developed.. Public transportation is strangely terrible. Even though England is quite a large country, it's impossible, and the public transportation system is still inadequate. Trains, since privatization, are too expensive, buses are frequently delayed and tend to be too small-scale - especially London's terminal is too small (compared to Korea) - and buses traveling between small towns are hard to spot. Urbanization started earlier here, yet in places that travel between small villages it's actually hard to see even a shabby single bus.

4. There's too much that seems 'outdated.' I don't know why, but quite a lot of things are beyond my expectations. The roads aren't well maintained, and it's hard to find a 'shoulder' on the roads, so if a car stops or even goes slowly it's dangerous, and rural national roads are rarely 4-lane. Maybe it's because there's little traffic... There are quite a lot of cases of road construction, and there are plenty of cases where it takes so long you can't tell when the maintenance will be finished.
