Key Systems of WoW: Shadowlands

- I'm leaving out the images. Just to organize this in text form.

1. Changes to the leveling system

- Compressed down to level 60; up to level 10 is a trial, up to level 50 you pick one expansion to level through, and from 50 you move on to the Shadowlands.

2. Differentiated reputation and campaigns by zone

- The Shadowlands has four leveling zones and one max-level zone.
- Each character can choose one of the four leveling zones to level up in.
- Campaigns, skills, transmogs, and so on are provided according to your progress.
- Not much has been revealed about the max-level zone, but there is a 1-to-5-player challenge mode.

3. Removal of Artifact Power

- But this is the removal of Artifact Power, not the removal of reputation. WoW still remains a reputation game.
- We can tell that features will be differentiated according to each zone's campaign and reputation.
- They said legendary items will be crafted at the forge (by obtaining runes), and this part could become a different form of artifact power. To be precise, there is a 'talent tree' like Legion's legendary items, but they answered that you don't raise it through artifact power.

4. Legendary crafting- You customize legendaries in the main city.

5. Death Knight allied races will be playable

6. The first raid is a 10-player boss raid

7. Shadowlands 9.0 has a total of 8 first 5-player dungeons (4 at max level, 4 for leveling)

8. Various class skills are returning

9. Legendary transmogs possible - The two-handed weapon Sulfuras, the one-handed weapon Thunderfury, the bow Rhok'delar, the two-handed weapon Shadowmourne, the two-handed staff Atiesh, and the one-handed weapon Val'anyr are all scheduled to return. There was no mention of legendary cloak transmog.

10. We're set to meet Arthas in the Shadowlands - Kael'thas, Uther, and Cenarius are also dead spirits, so it's undecided what will happen to heroes who have other points of connection with them.

11. There is an order in which you travel through the zones

- The Shadowlands has 5 zones, and these 5 zones follow an order, so your first character will follow that order of the story, and from your subsequent characters onward you'll be able to raise your Covenant right away.

12. I'm guessing Covenants will be in a form similar to The Burning Crusade's Aldor and Scryers
- In the Burning Crusade expansion, players could only raise reputation with one of the two, the Aldor or the Scryers. Likewise, in the Shadowlands you'll choose one faction among the four zone reputations, and the developers mentioned that you can change it but there will be a cost.

13. Judging from the trailer, Sylvanas can be guessed to be a raid boss who might appear around 9.2.
